Chris Thomas, Managing Director and Chairman, left school to become a jackaroo — you can’t get any closer to the fundamentals of the business than that.

It is a source of pride that the next generation has reinforced the family business. Darren Thomas, an accounting and MBA graduate, has also joined the Board and now oversees the livestock procurement and operations as CEO.

From Day One, their aim has been to grow Australia’s meat export business through quality, reliability and value–adding.

Their vision: to be the most sought–after supplier of Australian meat and its co–products.

It seems the vision is right on schedule: today, T&R Pastoral has risen to become one of Australia’s Top 5 meat processors, demonstrating market–leading expertise in procurement, processing and export.

And its star is rising still.
